AKAGERA SACCO KAYONZA is a District Savings and Credit Cooperative (D-SACCO) formed through the merger of all Umurenge SACCOs operating in Kayonza District.
The SACCO was established following resolutions taken by the General Assemblies of each Umurenge SACCO and officially approved during the Founding General Assembly held on 23 October 2025. It was granted legal personality by the Rwanda Cooperative Agency (RCA) on 13 November 2025.
Former Umurenge SACCOs continue to operate as branches and sub-branches, ensuring proximity and effective service delivery to members across the entire Kayonza District.
